There is a natural tendency for all rubber to turn soft and sticky after a while. I am disappointed because I bought this Macbook just over a year ago. My previous Macbook Pro 13 inch from 2013 did not have this issue. WebJan 24, 2024 · My eyes have been peeling for about three or four years. My peeling I mean that a layer of goo on my eyeball comes off. Sometimes I can see the string across my eyeball all day. Sometimes I scrape at the end of the string if I can do it without scratching my eye/lid to get it off. When it comes off it's a string of goo.
