WebJul 23, 2015 · I suspect it was over-torqued or forced when fitting the housing, causing stress fracture lines. Brought it in to the dealer and they kept the car a couple of days - had to get an ok from BMWNA first. The whole headlight assembly had to be replaced as it's one unit, housing plus light enclosure.
