But in comparison to the phat screamer, they are a little trebly, and don't sound as good when palm muting on high gain settings. They're great for classic rock. WebJan 28, 2013 · Also considering some other variations with Screamers: I actually like the look of the "Phat" pickups - they claim the pole pieces are the size used in a P-Bass, which supposedly gives it more fullness/sustain. I don't know if there's any truth to that at all. Can anyone shed any light on these or anything else they could recommend from Dragonfire?
